Technician
Responsibilities and Duties:
Job Description:
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but other duties may be assigned as well:
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and Manufacturer's standards & Warranty standards.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- Documents services performed and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Maintains Customer Satisfaction Scores at or above manufacture and Company standards
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
- Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- A Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician preferred (automotive mechanic)
- Dealership experience is required
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- All applicants must perform duties in a safe manner
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Must be willing to submit to a background check, DVM screen, and drug screen
