Job Description

Skyborne Opportunity

The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and delivering a fully integrated bespoke sales strategy for each academy location, working closely with the Commercial Director and Group Head of Marketing to ensure sales targets are met.

This key role is integral to ensure the sales process is informative and efficient to ensure we are considered the Airline Academy and Approved Training Organisation of choice. Innovation and creative thinking are a must to ensure that Skyborne appeals to a wider audience and is differentiated through quality, safety and professionalism.

The successful candidate must be able to work across Global markets to lead a team of training advisors. Highly experienced in sales, with a proven track record in the creation of B2B and B2C sales campaigns that have delivered commercial value. 

As Group Head of Sales, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and take them on a journey to deliver sales excellence. An inspiring leader, with great vision and expertise in building a commercial strategy that drives innovation and growth

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring a global academy sales strategy for new and existing courses, ensuring strong and consistent sales targets are achieved at all times, across all programs.
  • Negotiating Commercial Agreements with affiliates and strategic partners.
  • Working closely with the company’s sales and marketing teams; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate metrics, insights, and tools.
  • Setting of sales related Key Performance Indicators to meet budgetary requirements. Ensuring they are effective implemented and achieved through monthly KPI reporting.
  • Participating in key events to include trade events, open days, graduation events, airline visits, airline forums and university visits in line with plans and business goals.
  • To ensure brand guidelines are adhered to and realised in all Sales communications.
  • Leading a team across multiple worldwidelocations to deliver sales targets, with oversight on all outputs.
  • Developing automation through Salesforce CRM.
  • Commercially focused through monitoring and reporting, improving the team’s performance via systems, processes, goals and training.
  • Delivering industry insight and competitor analysis.
  • Providing performance channel expertise in meetings and pitches.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop the core performance sales strategy.
  • Some traveling for events will be required. 

Qualifications

Professional requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred, or five (5) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; equivalency years’ experience substitution must be in related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in sales.
  • Knowledge and experience in flight training preferred. Knowledge of terminology, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and prerequisites for Skyborne Airline Academy courses, as specified by FAA regulations preferred.
  • Extensive previous experience leading a sales team, ideally including remote staff.
  • Expert knowledge in sales with a proven track record of managing global products.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts, across all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changeable environment.
  • Able to inspire, motivate and engage with people.
  • Able to drive initiatives through and resolve obstacles/blockers effectively.
  • Positive in nature, able to both develop and get the best out of those around them.
  • Self-starter who loves taking ownership of processes and projects.
  • Strategy and planning, with the ability to demonstrate intelligent and forward-thinking approaches.
  • Highly organized, analytical and comfortable presenting at all levels.
  • Ability to think both creatively and commercially.
  • Happy to work at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Readily accepts changes and adjusts accordingly.
  • Contingent to employment, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check, along with TSA badging-if required for your role.

  • Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, Onsite
  • Salary range: $75,000-90,000 per year (DOE)
  • Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision)

  • PTO - 18 days, plus 5 Sick Days
