Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer
Job Location: Hybrid – Reston, VA or Plano, TX (All remote work must be performed within the United States.)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire - Must be able to work as a W2 employee of Newbold and convert to perm employee without sponsorship.
Compensation: $60-70/hour will be based on the candidate’s skills and experience
No other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, are offered for this position

Our current project involves modernizing a legacy desktop underwriting application, built over 20 years ago, to a microservices architecture using the latest technologies
This transformation includes migrating to AWS cloud, making all services live, and retiring the legacy app.

Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing and developing microservices architectures
- Proficiency in Java 17 , Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring-JPA
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Familiarity with AWS services (SQS/SNS, ECS) and file protocols (SFTP, FTPS)
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and behavior-driven testing with Cucumber
- Experience with Source Code Control, Feature Branching, and CI/CD Pipeline Basics using Jenkins and GIT
