answered yes, then the Oregon Symphony has an exciting opportunity for you!

Oregon Symphony seeks a talented and resourceful Events Associate to oversee the design and
execution of fundraising, stewardship, and cultivation events, including the annual Gala. This role is
crucial for producing creative, impactful, and memorable experiences to steward and cultivate
current and prospective donors, supporting contributed revenue goals through event sales,
sponsorships, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Stewardship & Events to develop concepts that support the
department’s goals.
  • Manage all aspects of event execution including planning, budgeting, booking, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and oversee event contractors.
  • Serve as liaison to the Gala Committee, assisting with attendance and fundraising efforts.
  • Secure in-kind contributions and sponsorships and manage event-related support from other
departments.
  • Maintain event calendars and donor information databases.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in event management, preferably within a fundraising environment.
  • Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Availability for evening and weekend events and ability to transport event materials.

Status and compensation:

This is a full-time, exempt position currently following a hybrid-remote work model with a minimum of
2-3 days/week in-office. Attendance at development events is required.

Salary Range: $40k - $43k/year, depending on qualifications.

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability
insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
