Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The role’s main purpose serves to maintain the accounting books for Club Assist with respect to financial reporting, internal controls and compliance to company policies/procedures and regulatory requirements. This team member will assist business partners with the interpretation of financial and management reports. 

Additional Duties:

Controls

• Assists with the development and maintenance of internal controls
• Implements finance policies, processes & procedures as required

Compliance

• Assists with the preparation of annual audits
• Preparation and maintenance of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Completion of bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
• Local governmental reporting (i.e. sales & use tax)

Cash Flow

• Update Cash Flow Reports on a daily basis and reconcile to bank statements
• Ad hoc cash analysis and management reports

Month End Close

• Calculate and upload month end journal entries into Microsoft Dynamics365
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations (sales, accounts payable, inventory, etc.)
• Perform balance fluctuation analysis at period end

Reporting

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of monthly P&L results
• Preparation of Club Commissions, Club Quarterly Rebates & AAA National Rebates

Fixed Assets

• Management of Fixed Assets for all of the company's business units
• Coordination of Motor Vehicle registers for all business units

Taxation

• Maintain Sales Tax Exemption Certificates
• File Sales Taxes reports on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annually basis
• Assist with the preparation of annual corporate taxes

Other

• Implement ongoing improvements via automation & streamlining of procedures
• Ownership of monthly rollforwards for debt and fixed assets
• Ensure month end process is run efficiently and in accordance with the timetable
• Maintains Dynamics365 set up and documentation of workflow
• Participate in projects as and when require
• Involvement in new Business Evaluation initiatives & financial modelling
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role – public accounting experience is preferred
• A four year degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license is a preferred (or working toward a CPA license)
