Tower Hill Healthcare Center is Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (RN) Near South Elgin, IL
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the facility
- Develop and implement systems to ensure efficient and effective delivery of nursing care
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including nurse managers and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to nursing practice
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided, making recommendations for improvement as needed
- Stay up-to-date with current medical terminology, nursing administration practices, and advancements in nursing care
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical conditions to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Coordinate with hospice care providers to ensure seamless transitions for residents requiring end-of-life care
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of employment
- Proven experience in nurse management or leadership role within a nursing home or similar healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of nurses
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to providing person-centered care
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
