California Public Employee’s Retirement Systems (CalPERS) seeks a Staff Services Analyst Staff Services Analyst (SSA), Retirement Benefits Counselor, in the Customer Education and Outreach Division (CEOD), San Diego Regional Office.

The San Diego Regional Office is located at 7676 Hazard Center Dr. Suite 350, in San Diego, California.

Office coverage is required from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overnight travel may be required along with working after normal business hours and weekends, please consider this before applying.

The Customer Education and Outreach Division (CEOD) is the first point of contact for CalPERS active and retired members, offering guidance on program benefits and services. The CEOD Regional Offices are responsible for providing in-person and virtual help to members by conducting presentations about retirement and health benefits while applying the Public Employee Retirement Law (PERL), Public Employee’s Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA), and new legislation and policy initiatives when responding to customer inquiries.
