Job Summary: The Program and HR Support Specialist is responsible for: implementing procedures to identify, attract, and onboard well-qualified professionals for all agency positions; researching and writing grants to complement and enrich program offerings; identifying volunteer engagement opportunities to support agency programs; and supporting safety and other program-area needs to benefit children, families and staff.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Assists the HR Coordinator with the marketing, recruitment, interviewing, reference and background checks, and orienting of new staff, including applicant tracking
• Coordinates volunteer program, including all of the required paperwork, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring procedures
• Supports agency involvement in job fairs, high school and college career exploration and mentorship programs, and other community engagement opportunities
• Researches, writes, and monitors grants that offer enhanced growth and learning opportunities for children and families and within the agency, and completes final reports
• Fosters a culture of agency/staff safety through leadership and collective engagement to ensure safe work practices
• Maintains a positive work environment by performing and communicating in a professional manner, and demonstrates confidentiality in all matters

Skills and Education:

1. B.A./B.S. in Human Resources, Communications, or related field

2. Ability to work with volunteers and maintain flexible schedule

3. Capability to work independently, communicate effectively, solve problems and provide leadership

4. Effective organizational skills and ability to write clearly and concisely

5. Computer skills and working knowledge of software programs

6. Ability to furnish own transportation, with 100,000/300,000 liability limits for bodily injury, underinsured motorist and uninsured motorist

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.77 - $30.52 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
