The Speech-Language Pathology department at Saint Elizabeth University is searching for one or more Assistant/Associate Professors specializing in Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology.
Requirements include an earned PhD or EdD in speech-language pathology or related area.
For appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates must demonstrate the potential for effective teaching, student mentoring, and conducting research in the area of their expertise.
For appointments at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must demonstrate a history of successful teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student mentoring, research productivity and academic/professional service.
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate prerequisite and graduate level courses in speech-language pathology in the areas of child language, speech sound disorders, speech science, voice disorders, dysphagia, adult cognitive disorders, and aphasia. Additionally, the candidate will mentor master’s students by providing guidance and support for their academic and research growth. We are seeking a candidate who is committed to working collaboratively and who is dedicated to our program’s mission of providing access and excellence in speech-language pathology education. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of our master’s program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, both in-person and online and engaging in university and professional service. Opportunities for direct clinical service and clinical supervision may also be available.
