Brooklyn SolarWorks was founded in 2015 with the purpose and mission to make “solar” appealing, easy, available, an affordable for all of NYC’s urban homeowners. Brooklyn SolarWorks is a turn-key operation as it designs and installs all its systems in-house, along with its sales, marketing and permitting processes. BSW is dedicated to the unique designs necessary for NYC urban environment, and has pioneered and patented an entirely new design as well as installation methods.

2023 Employee Satisfaction Survey
The Controller will oversee and help build the accounting department; planning and directing the accounting operations of the company and ensuring the company remains compliant. The candidate must possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and will work to streamline budgeting, risk management and financial reporting processes to help improve operational efficiency. Candidate must possess at least 8 years of prior accounting experience, along with 5 years of supervisory experience. Their duties will include directing and recruiting accounting staff and department operations, compiling financial reports, and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. The individual will display the following skill sets: leadership qualities, accuracy and detail orient, strong numerical proficiency, effective problem-solving skills and developing budgets. From time to time, the Controller will need to coordinate with the affairs of Brooklyn SolarWorks sister companies to effectively carry out their duties.
