Grade: 32

Salary: $130,738 - $155,254

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time Research Education Manager position at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.

The NYSPI Research Education Manager promotes the ethical conduct of clinical research and ensures compliance with all institutional, federal, state, and local regulations by providing ongoing education for researchers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource to connect researchers to subject matter experts related to varying research concerns.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate the research education endeavors for NYSPI by staying up to date on coming trends and changes, and adapting training as needed.
  • Identify areas for improvement by working with other departments within the HRPP including but not limited to all Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) covered under OMH's Federal Wide Assurance (FWA), Compliance, Quality, and Information security.
  • Prepare reports on industry trends to ensure continued growth and development of the program.
  • Ensure that appropriate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are in place to promote regulatory compliance at all levels, conveying deficiencies to the larger HRPP when apparent.
  • Work with the Policy director when gaps are identified based on training outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A./M.S. degree or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a Human Research Protections Program setting at an academic medical center.
