Description

POSITION TITLE: Neighborhood Services Center Coordinator -Floater

REPORTS TO: CENTER MANAGER

FSLA Classification: Non-Exempt

Rate: $13.39

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Provides administrative support to neighborhood center, and developmental and supportive services to clients.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer incoming calls to the Center and provide accurate information about Community Services and other agency program guidelines and eligibility requirements.
  • Greet and direct visitors and callers appropriately and professionally.
  • Assist staff with development and maintenance of up-to-date knowledge of community resources to provide clients with accurate information, referral, and advocacy to access needed programs.
  • Assist coworkers as they administer assistance programs and supportive services as assigned, including signing clients into the center, and providing other clerical support, as needed.
  • Assist with record maintenance, filing client documentation requirements; center maintenance and other duties, as assigned.
  • Assures compliance with all program and grant requirements.
  • Assist clients to access developmental and supportive services that further their self-reliance, including temporary financial and supportive assistance and developmental programming as determined by the annual CSBG Budget Plan and Proposal and Agency Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources to provide clients with accurate information, referral and advocacy to access needed programs.
  • Administer assistance programs including the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, WinterCare, the Temporary Food Assistance Program, Commodity Supplemental Food Program and county-specific programs, as assigned.
  • Assist the County Supervisor with record maintenance including CASTiNET; the client needs assessment, Neighborhood Center maintenance and other duties, as assigned.
  • Provides case management and goal coaching to appropriate customers using the most current approved Strengths Based Model.
  • Assist in the enrollment of the Northern Kentucky population and conduct related outreach activities for the KYnect Program as needed.
  • Facilitate consumer enrollment and outreach activities for the KYnect Program as needed
  • Assures compliance with all program and grant requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required and experience in social work/human services preferred
  • Must possess organizational skills
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Office and internet research, and ability to learn specialized computer databases, as needed.
  • Knowledge of county, community, agencies and resources.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to sit at, read, and enter data on computer for prolonged periods of time up to 75% of the time.
