Corvallis School District is Hiring a DLI-Spanish Elementary Teacher (2024-25 School Year, Multiple Locations Pool) Near Corvallis, OR

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to in struct and supervise a diverse group of children by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment, providing ample and varied learning opportunities and promoting high standards of performance for all students regardless of their background and developmental levels.

FTE: 1.0

FLSA Status: Licensed - Professional

Contract Status: Regular/Probationary

Start Date: 2024/2025 School Year

Calendar: 191 Work Days

Salary: $50,942 to $95,387 with benefits

Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Note:This posting is scheduled to be open until May 8th, 2023 with earliest possible review being April 30th, 2023. This posting will be closed May 19th, 2023 unless all position are not filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Valid Oregon teacher's license with appropriate endorsement and grade level authorization. Must be highly qualified or able to become highly qualified in area assigned according to NCLB laws.

* Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory and brain research.

* Content knowledge in subject areas taught.

* Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment and behavior management strategies that reflect current research on best practices.

* Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks for elementary grade levels.
