Corvallis School District is Hiring an ELL Elementary Teacher - Multiple Locations (2024-2025 School Year) Near Corvallis, OR

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to instruct and supervise a diverse group of children by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment, providing ample and varied learning opportunities and promoting high standards of performance for all students regardless of their background and developmental levels.
FTE: One1.0 or Two 0.5 Positions 
FLSA Status: Licensed - ProfessionalContract Status: Regular/Probationary

Calendar: 191 Work DaysSalary: $50,942 to $95,387 with benefits 
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee’s salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Notes: Open until filled with earliest review possible being May 13th, 2024. 
  • This position is either one 1.0 position at two loactions or two 0.5 positons located at Kathryn Jones Harrison Elementary and Garfield Elementary. 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Oregon teacher’s license with appropriate endorsement and grade level authorization. Must be highly qualified or able to become highly qualified in area assigned according to NCLB laws.
  • Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory and brain research.
  • Content knowledge in subject areas taught.
  • Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment and behavior management strategies that reflect current research on best practices.
  • Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks for elementary grade levels.
