Maintenance Technician (M-TH/10hr/Days) 5:45am-4:15pm

Gokoh Coldwater Incorporated (aka GCI)is a leading tier two supplier of sand cores for the automotive industry. We manufacture cores for castings of brake rotors and water passages. We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Maintenance Technician. The eligible candidate will support manufacturing by maintaining, repairing and servicing the production equipment.

Full Time – 40 hours/week with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Inspect sand core production machinery and sub-equipment for defects
• Able to operate the production machinery with minimum supervision
• Troubleshoot repairs and perform preventative maintenance
• Assist in identifying problems and/or equipment repair needs
• Support production department to achieve target goals
• Issue trouble reports and perform work on existing trouble reports
• Maintain work area for 5S organization and inspection
• Self-motivated
• Safety awareness & training
• Complete weekly/daily maintenance check sheets

Physical Demands:

• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
• Some climbing
• Kneeling, crouching and/or crawling

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ experience working in maintenance related position
• Ability to learn new technologies
• Ability to retain information important to the job
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes

Desired skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend operation standards, work instructions blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Some knowledge in basic electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and welding.
• Basic knowledge of Fanuc robotics
