The Maintenance Technician is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.

This position supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor. Essential Functions of the Position:

• Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems
• Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion
• Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations
• Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
• Attend training as required
• Participate in Continual Improvement activities
• Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer, and the general public.
• Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Physical Demands / Work Environment Manufacturing Environment:
• Must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees of all departments, management, customers and suppliers
• The plant floor is characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required
• Able to obtain a forklift license
• Technical training in Hydraulic/pneumatic systems maintenance and repair, Mechanical power transmission maintenance and repair, combustion gas train maintenance and repair, HVAC, Industrial electronics, welding and fabriciation, machine tool operation, maintenance and repair,robot and PLC programming and trouble shooting preferred.

Pay: $28.26 - $41.09 per hour
