ENGINEERING CHANGE COORDINATOR – HVAC
Summary:
In this position, you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Sales, Production, Logistics, and Purchasing who are responsible for the design, support, and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment. This role will focus primarily on the planning, coordination, and management of engineering change requests and engineering projects.
Essential Functions:
Summary:
In this position, you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Sales, Production, Logistics, and Purchasing who are responsible for the design, support, and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment. This role will focus primarily on the planning, coordination, and management of engineering change requests and engineering projects.
Essential Functions:
- Engineering Change Request (ECR) risk assessment and impact
- Plan, define and sequence the tasks needed to accomplish the change request
- Schedule and conduct meetings as required to ensure tasks are on time and complete
- Facilitate engineering changes and authorizations between multiple departments including but not limited to Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Technical Support, Production and Quality
- Manage and update ECR backlog
- Validate proper implementation within operational teams
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate the results of the change
- Incumbent will ensure that all information and specifications provided to our internal and external customers will be correct, complete, accurate, clear, and concise; and will be presented in a timely manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Adhere to safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Engineering or manufacturing background is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Solid communication skills, verbally and in writing
- Possess a strong team spirit
- Proficient in English
Safety/Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the incumbent’s presence onsite in the plant/in the office for a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Capable of lifting/moving parts weighing 50 lbs. or less
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Requires bending, stooping, and standing
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours pr day (overtime may extend time period)
- Good visual and spatial perception
