This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Fontana, CA. THE OPPORTUNITY The Lease and Rental Sales Consultant will represent the Inland Lease and Rental division and will be responsible for selling full-service lease and rental programs and services for an assigned customer group and territory. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and coordinates, with the Director – Inland Lease & Rental, sales and marketing programs and strategies. Creates a target list of prospects and aggressively pursues credit worthy customers. Continually develops new prospects via mail programs, telemarketing and cold calls. Develops and presents sales proposals to new prospects for all product lines (ie. Full Service Leasing, Rental, Contract Maintenance, Sales and Service) for the dealership. Bears ongoing responsibility on assigned accounts for customer service and coordinating problem resolution with other team members. Conducts safety meetings with customers. Conducts familiarization sessions for customers with new truck deliveries Develops an annual sales plan for inclusion in the department business plan. Submits required sales reports to the Director – Inland Lease & Rental on a timely basis. WHAT WE LOOK FOR Experience Post-secondary education in sales and marketing preferred 3 years’ experience in commercial truck/automotive sales, lease or rental experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 3 preferred, Class 1 is an asset) Core Competencies Comfortable with cold call solicitation Ability to negotiate is essential Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills Detailed oriented Strong organizational skills Accountability and dependability Time management Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Strong team player Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community SALARY The salary for a Sales Consultant is $60,000 per year with the addition of commission opportunity.
