Overture is Hiring an Intake Coordinator Near Longmont, CO

This position is responsible for coordinating the intake process for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities looking for services. This includes meeting with individuals wanting services, families, guardians, and other team members to explore opportunities with Overture or coordination with necessary parties to bring in new clients. This position will also develop each program offered in the state by meeting or exceeding growth goals in accordance with Overture strategic plan for innovative growth.

Pay Range: $19.47/hr.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or equivalent in closely related field strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License from the state in which you reside, maintain a clean driving record, and proof of insurance per company insurance guidelines.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR), background check, and other screening per Company requirements.
  • Must have excellent professional-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have solid computer and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Must be able and willing to work hours outside of normal working hours to attend events and other networking opportunities, as well as to respond to emergencies or to otherwise meet the needs of the people we serve and their families.
  • Must have consistent access to reliable transportation that will allow for quick response in an emergency.

Essential Job Functions (Included, but not limited to):

  • Possess high level knowledge of the service categories in the State and the ability to speak confidently about those service categories and the options available to them through Overture.
  • Possess expert knowledge of best practice when it comes to services and supports for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including person-centered planning and the rights afforded to people who choose to have services within Overture.
  • Possess knowledge of independent contractor status and an ability to explain/understand the responsibilities and exclusions of independent contractors.
  • Possess knowledge of applicable State rules and regulations related to services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Establish documented growth goals for your area and meet or exceed growth expectations.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with all required HR documentation and online/instructor-led trainings. Completes all trainings and documentation no later than the due dates given.
  • Review and respond to referrals for services using a personal, tailored approach to explain how Overture can meet their specific needs and preferences.
  • Leverage marketing materials to demonstrate the values, vision, and mission of Overture to prospective persons seeking services and their team.
  • Participate in strategic growth planning with Overture leadership, analyzing data to determine growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Residential staffing, if applicable: Develop and maintain work schedules for each new home and assure staff work within the scheduled hours and the person in services has 24-hour access to staff.
  • Collaborate with team members if having difficulty finding residential providers that meet the person’s preferences, and if applicable create targeted ads to find providers to secure placement options.
  • Interview potential Provider candidates to determine viability and educate them about Overture’s mission and value.

  • Physical Requirements - Requires repetitive manual and finger dexterity and eye- hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics.

• Visual, Hearing, and Communication Requirements - Must be able to read, understand and communicate information and ideas orally and in writing to effectively communicate with others.

  • Pressure Factor- This position may require employees to adapt to a frequently changing environment, including handling and de-escalating incidents. This position will interact with individuals who are intellectually and developmentally delayed, may be frail, confused, and at times engage in verbal or physical aggression. Accordingly, it is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant situations with the need to problem solve.
