Description The Power Supply Electrical Engineer position is part of the Product Development Team. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):
Participate in supporting design, development and sustaining electrical engineering activities within cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and test engineering groups.
Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics, laying out printed circuit boards, and performing circuit simulations.
Provide sustaining support for designs that include analog circuits that interface with sensors, AC/DC power supplies, and communication circuits (e.g. Ethernet I/P, 4/20mA, RS-485,...)
Perform electronics design verification testing activities and provide evidence to engineering supervisor and peers that designs meet or exceed specification requirements and customers' needs.
Participate in design reviews and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
Troubleshoot power supplies and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level.
Support electronics circuit card manufacturing and product manufacturing by improving product designs, streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing manufacturing costs, and improving quality.
Work with a cross-functional team and external suppliers to develop power supplies.
Work with outside contractors to build subsystems.
May perform modeling and simulation, controls development.
Utilize analytical tools available in the industry, including thermal design, algorithm development for power supply control, and magnetics design.
Develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze results and document results in reports.
Develop and maintain design documentation including schematics, bill of materials, specifications, and user manuals.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in the industrial power supply industry
Knowledge of High Voltage and Current Design from PCB to final Assembly.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and enhance existing product design.
Knowledge of Industrial Plating / Surface Finish power design a plus.
