Lex Products is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative - Military FL LexTM3

Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative for the Military market is responsible for all aspects of inside sales including; prospecting, technical support for customers, support and lead generation, follow-up of opportunities, development and processing of bid proposals, order and quote entry, liaison with Marketing and development of a comprehensive competitive analysis. The Inside Sales Rep is responsible to keep all open military house account quotes accurate and updated through prompt follow-up. Daily monitoring of government bid websites and technical specifications for new opportunities.
This position is responsible to establish a trusted advisor relationship with customers and advance the goals for the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Field sales or product inquiries for military products
  • Complete solicitations, proposals and submissions for competitive and sole sourced bids
  • Follow up on current projects with contracting officers
  • Provide technical sales support to customers
  • Generate and follow-up quotations in ERP system
  • Closing sales
  • Enter and monitor military/government house account orders
  • Schedule shipments through VSM (vendor managed shipment module)
  • Provide support to BD team in scheduling and follow-up to meetings and trade shows
  • Monitor, review and process online opportunities from Fed Biz Opps, DIBBS, National bid Network, GSA EBuy and other websites
  • Work with Engineering, Business Development and Product Management on product expansion for new opportunities
  • Download, process and update shipping and tracking information on GSA Advantage
  • Prospecting new leads for Business Development
  • Assist in development and maintenance of Contact data
  • Coordinate with Marketing (product data sheets, website, tradeshows)
  • Participate in briefings
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Competitive analysis
  • Maintenance of the Sales Funnel
  • Work effectively with team members to provide exceptional support for internal and external customers
  • Actively participate in weekly sales meeting and monthly individual RAP sessions
  • Enter and actively follow-through on orders to ensure they are on track and the customers are kept up to date on the status of their order(s).
  • Email/phone communications with customers include but is not limited to, clarification of RFQ and purchase order information, will call pick-ups and submittal drawing approval.
  • Reply to all requests within two hours.

  • Maintain minimum sales order order/quote accuracy of 99.85%
  • Complete/submit weekly call report
Education and/or Experience:
  • BS/BA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with related activities
  • Electrical technical aptitude
  • Customer service experience preferred, with history of demonstrated success
  • Exceptional computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Internet
  • Effective oral and written communication; good spelling and grammar
  • High level of professionalism and a consistent, reliable work ethic
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
