Liberty Insurance Brokers is Hiring a Remote Operations Assistant - Benefits

The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers are looking for a new team member to join our Benefits Department as Operations Assistant. We are seeking individuals that have knowledge in benefits from an insurance brokerage perspective. We offer competitive pay, benefits, generous vacation, and sick paid time off. This a remote opportunity to cover PST zone hours.

Position Summary:

This position entails training on Liberty agency and document management systems, managing inboxes, educating employees on systems and workflows, conducting audits, developing training programs, maintaining spreadsheets, facilitating carrier login requests, producing templates, and providing administrative support to ensure compliance with Liberty standard operation procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Liberty agency management system training to new hires.
  • Manage agency management and benefit alerts inbox.
  • Educate and train employees on new or revised systems and workflows.
  • Conduct monthly audits to identify trends, training needs, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain Liberty training programs, including guides, handouts, and decks.
  • Assist in maintain Operations spreadsheets and trackers.
  • Facilitate carrier login request for sales and service team.
  • Produce and oversee agency management account import templates.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge or insurance business processes and system workflows
  • Perform, distribute, and follow up on monthly agency management auditing reports
  • Assist EB Operations Manager as agency management administrator, including troubleshooting and correcting errors
  • Maintain agency management code changes, benchmarking, and accounting support
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge in various software tools like BenefitPoint, AMS360, Monday.com, Tableau, etc.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Participate with management other employees on special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required to vendor functions. In addition, travel may be required to branch locations for initial and/or ongoing training where virtual training is not an option.


Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player with a “can do” attitude
  • 4 years in a customer success, project management, information systems or similar role
  • Minimum of 2 years agency management (Vertafore AMS360/BenefitPoint)
  • Internet software, spreadsheet software, and Excel processing software experience required.
  • Eager to learn new systems and applications, adaptable to dynamic needs and receptive to feedback
  • Continuous improvement mindset, analytical thinker, strong problem-solving, analysis and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively train and support end-users explaining complex concepts
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Flexible approach, able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite, experience with SaaS products/insure-tech platforms and customer success processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, college degree preferred
