AGCO Corporation is currently seeking a **Senior Buyer** in Duluth, GA to assist in driving the development and implementation of AGCOs global commodity strategies resulting in best-in-class quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership. Additionally, the Senior Buyer supports multiple Strategic and Global Commodity Managers through RFQ execution, negotiations, market analysis, strategy development, contract management as well as data gathering and analysis.
Note : The Senior Buyer will travel up to 25% of the time in support of multiple North American manufacturing plants as well as a global supply base.
* Manage NPI activities including, but not limited to, completing ECNs, executing RFPs and quotes, meeting on time targets, and driving commodity strategies
* Responsible for RFQ preparation, execution and analysis
* For select commodities, develop and execute long-term strategy deployment, supplier cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, negotiations, long-term contract establishment, continuous supplier performance improvement, and supplier relationship development
* Systems updates and data integrity
* Perform special projects as required in support of departmental objectives
* Develop a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes
* Assisting the CM in successfully contracting suppliers to provide AGCO with cost-optimized commodities
* Assist Purchasing and Commodity Managers in the development and execution of long-term supply strategy, landed cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, make/buy analyses, negotiations and long-term contract establishment including LTA and ACRE
* Work with CM to support the Supplier Development processes including the coordination and support on-site supplier assessment / certification audits and continuous improvement activities that drive down total cost
* Investigate and inform Commodity Managers of new and/or alternate sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues
**Required Qualifications of the Senior Buyer:**
* 2-7 years of experience as a Buyer, Commodity Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, or another related position managing at least $10 million in annual spend, specifically in a manufacturing environment or with a manufacturing company, preferably an OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier
* 2-7 years of experience working with an ERP or MRP system (i.e. JD Edwards, MAPICS, SAP)
* 2-7 years handling supplier contract negotiations
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and PowerPoint
* Intermediate in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
**Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Buyer:**
* CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certifications
* 1-7 years project management experience with cross functional teams
**Education of the Senior Buyer:**
* Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering related major is required
* MBA, or Masters in a supply chain related degree, is preferred
