Summary:

This position is responsible for providing systems, network and other IT support for the company. The employee is also responsible for service desk support, troubleshooting and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, and maintaining systems including AD, Azure, Office 365, Backups, and Database servers.

Employee is responsible for upholding and guiding company initiatives to ensure a quality management system is maintained according to policies, procedures and processes that support the standards and guidelines for regulatory agencies including but not limited to The Joint Commission, Food and Drug Administration, (FDA), International Organization Standards (ISO) and Federal health care guidelines and the Snap Quality Management System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that are within the score of this position.

• Network Design and Implementation: Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and intranets.
• Network Security: Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect the organization’s data and systems. Configuring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security devices.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving network issues, connectivity problems, and performance issues. Providing technical support to end-users and other IT staff related to network-related problems.
• Network Monitoring: Monitoring network performance, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Utilizing network monitoring tools to identify and address issues proactively.
• Configuration Management: Managing and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
• Servers: Maintaining, configuring and supporting.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with other IT professionals, the business community, external clients as well as internal/external software developers to ensure seamless integration between network and systems components. Will work closely with our North America Operations Center and Analytics team.
• Software and Firmware Updates: Ensuring that network devices have up-to-date software, firmware, and security patches.
• User Training: Providing training to end-users on network-related topics, best practices, and security awareness.
• Compliance: Ensuring that the network infrastructure complies with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Vendor Management: Working with network equipment vendors to procure hardware, software, and support services.
• Stay Informed: Staying informed on industry trends.

Education and/or Experience

• College degree in computer, information technology, or related field. 
• Must have at least 15 years of practical experience. Relevant experience and/or certifications will be considered.
• Experience in regulated environments including financial, medical, or similar industries.
• Hands on experience in networking, troubleshooting, routing and switching.
• Knowledge of common Linux and Windows Desktop/Server operating systems.
• Experience and knowledge of backup and recovery software, methodologies, and best practices.
• Broad understanding of Virtual Environments and Remote access.

Language Skills

Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability

The individual in this role must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Strong multi-tasking skills. Ability to complete assigned tasks in the allotted time. Attention to detail and good problem solving skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) greater than 75% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
• Position self to maintain files and move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• The ability to observe details and communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange, detect, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect accurate information in these situations.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Travel Requirements: Work travel is seldom required.

Work Environment: 

The work environment includes a general office environment with relatively low noise.
