Network Administrator Objectives:
The Network Administrator is responsible for providing systems, network, and other IT support for the company. You will also be responsible for service desk support, troubleshooting and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, and maintaining systems including AD, Azure, Office 365, Backups, and Database servers.
Duties
Network Design and Implementation:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and intranets.
Network Security:
Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
Configuring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security devices.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Diagnosing and resolving network issues, connectivity problems, and performance issues.
Providing technical support to end-users and other IT staff related to network-related problems.
Network Monitoring:
Monitoring network performance, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
Utilizing network monitoring tools to identify and address issues proactively.
Configuration Management:
Managing and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
Servers:
Maintain, configure, and support.
Collaboration:
Collaborating with other IT professionals, the business community, external clients as well as internal/external software developers to ensure seamless integration between network and systems components. Will work closely with our North America Operations Center and Analytics team.
Software and Firmware Updates:
Ensuring that network devices have up-to-date software, firmware, and security patches.
User Training:
Providing training to end-users on network-related topics, best practices, and security awareness.
Compliance:
Ensuring that the network infrastructure complies with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Vendor Management:
Working with network equipment vendors to procure hardware, software, and support services.
Stay Informed:
Staying updated on industry trends.
