- Create cutouts from Catia models for new parts and old parts.
- Create visual aids for new parts and old parts.
- Inspect the masking on the jobs completed.
- Track and take jobs to the next process upon completion.
- Help masking department when needed.
- Perform masking verification for new parts from the quality dashboard.
- Contact customers for blueprints and Catia models as needed.
- Keep the Blueprint revisions current.
- Ability to do PS 20722 Boeing Enhanced masking and obtain a Level 2 certification.
- Work with the Masking Lead, to go through the work in house and plot out the cutouts for different jobs that will come into the department by looking upstream.
- Review and maintain the Masking inventory. Place requisitions, working with the department lead and Supervisor.
- Process parts according to shop work order and applicable specifications and drawings
- Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks
- Ensure integrity of incoming parts (damage, scratches, etc.)
- Complete work order and all necessary paperwork according to job, drawings and specifications
- Manage hazardous materials safely and in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Routine duties are performed independently
- Stay within company attendance guidelines
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes
- Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
- Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
- Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
- Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
- Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
- Conduct internal audits as required
- Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Follows safety procedures

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience:
5 plus years of experience in Inspection and Masking
Other Requirements:
Basic understanding of blueprints and drawings, preferred
Familiar with precision tools

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit
