What is the Account Executive role?

The Account Executive will work to build pipeline and maximize sales within their assigned market territory by working directly with prospects and customers. Their focus is aimed at new and expansion sales opportunities at prospective and recently won accounts, and is achieved by driving strategic wins through large organizations. It’s expected that this role will increase deal win rates and accelerate time to close on key opportunities. The role is a full-time, hybrid (office and remote) position with a competitive compensation package based on sales achievement and quota attainment.

What you will do: 

  • Act as a primary point of contact in the field for prospective clients, going deep into their business to identify areas to deliver value
  • Be the primary driver for revenue within territory, with named and new accounts
  • Be accountable for business outcomes by owning your business and building it from scratch; including activities such as creation of sales campaigns, the crafting of closing plans, participation in efforts to enhance the sales process, and getting involved in prospective outreach activities
  • Create end user demand by hunting for new accounts, and building brand recognition in our space
  • Create internal champions in your accounts, spanning from mid-level to C-level executives at globally recognized, brand-name corporations
  • Drive consumption at recently won accounts to create new expansion opportunities
  • Manage forecasting and account/opportunity details in CRM
  • Enable and coach team members to success, such as with the Account Development Representatives to build pipeline and manage effective outreach strategies

Requirements: 

  • Proven success selling SaaS solutions at the Enterprise level 
  • Proven ability to sell a category defining vision and disruptive technology
  • Well versed in the challenges (and opportunities) that come with selling in the 0-1 and 1-10 phases of a SaaS startup
  • Experience managing complex and collaborative sales-cycles and presenting to C-Level executives
  • Adept with business planning and execution; consistently has run account strategies with successful outcomes
  • Eats humble pie - prioritizes team winning, and has a growth mindset about self and others
  • Comfortable with travel 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-10 years of professional experience with 2-5 years experience selling enterprise SaaS products in a closing role
  • Previous experience in a BDR or SDR role is a plus
  • 4 year university degree desired, or related experience
