Job Overview:

National Therapy Center seeks a proactive and skilled Registered Behavior Technician to our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Department. This role is pivotal in implementing behavior intervention plans, academic programming, social skills development & collecting data. The RBT will work onsite with the child 1:1 and teach skills such as toilet training, feeding, communication, etc. and will help reduce their challenging behaviors in order to help clients and their families reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation:Record and collect observable client data while ensuring the client’s treatment plans and protocols are being followed efficiently and effectively.
  • Confidentiality:Maintain strict client confidentiality per HIPAA regulations and standards.
  • Direct Care: Maintain high standards and intensive Applied Behavior Analysis therapy while providing direct care to clients in 1:1 setting both in clinic and in home
  • Maintenance of Certifications: Ensuring all board certifications and CPR certification are up to date to maintain compliance with state and insurance regulations.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the client’s family and their assigned Behavior Analyst to communicate any questions or concerns and the client’s progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and receive ongoing training and supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Travel: This position requires travel to our three office locations in Washington DC, Bethesda, MD, and Germantown, MD.
  • Qualifications:
  • CPR/ First Aid certification
  • 1 year of experience
  • RBT Certification
  • Have reliable transportation and automobile insurance
  • Be available to work daytime and late afternoon hours
  • Pass a criminal background check

Physical Demands of the Position:

Sitting:

Approximately 2-4 hours per day, primarily while working directly with a client or documenting.

Walking:

Around 2-3 hours per day, including moving within the office premises and working directly with a client.

Bending and Lifting:

Frequently required during the day for tasks such as toilet training and must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Crawling:

Occasionally required, especially when working with clients during activities or gross motor time.
