Summary:
Slutty Vegan, a popular plant-based food truck and restaurant chain based in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Truck Supervisor to oversee all food truck operations and manage a team of crew members. The Food Truck Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring smooth and successful food truck events, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and managing the fleet of food trucks. This position requires prior experience working on a food truck, managing a team, basic truck maintenance skills, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of food truck operations, including scheduling, event planning, inventory management, and customer service.
- Supervise and lead a team of at least 5 crew members during food truck events, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to prepare and load food truck supplies and equipment for each event.
- Drive the food truck to various locations for events, ensuring safe and timely transportation.
- Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet Slutty Vegan's standards at all times.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards on the food truck, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of food truck equipment, such as generators, refrigerators, and cooking appliances.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of food truck inventory, sales, and expenses.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote food truck events and attract customers.
- Train new crew members on food truck operations, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and obtain necessary permits for food truck operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in food service management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working on a food truck and managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with a ServSafe certification preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on food truck equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a food truck.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for food truck events.
