• Validate shop-floor rejections.
• Utilize gages/fixtures, cosmetic standards, and functional tests to confirm rejections.
• Distinguish production-related issue from vendor related issue.
• Perform inspections - Approve or reject incoming materials by evaluating part to print specifications, and cosmetic standards and functional requirements.
• Process Quality Notifications generated from rejection of component parts at incoming inspection, during the assembly process, and finished product.
• Send samples to suppliers and to other Moen facilities.
• Develop inspection/ rework methods and create work instructions.
• Communicate with vendors on a regular basis to discuss material disposition and obtain Return Authorizations, as needed.
• Conduct special projects as directed by the Quality Lab Supervisor
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers Quality Lab Supervisor and CPAP Engineer in troubleshooting quality issues.
• Pick-up and transport material for disposition and return to vendors.
• Key scrap data into SAP.
• Perform required SAP transactions to close out Quality Management Orders (QMOs).
• Ensures validity and accuracy of QM Order data.
• Participate in scheduled inventories.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Manage Calibration of SQA gages
• As needed use powered industrial equipment to retrieve and replace Component Warehouse stock.

Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three years Moen Incorporated experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in use of MS Office suite to include Word, Excel, spreadsheets and graphs, Power Point, and Internet operation including SupplyNet and all relevant SAP transactions.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.

Experience:

• Demonstrated understanding of Moen’s product lines, assembly methods, pack operations, manufacturing practices, testing, and auditing procedures, and quality philosophy a plus.
• Minimum one year Moen or similar manufacturing experience required.
• Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion).
• Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from a bid job in the preceding 6 months.
• Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings for Group 1 rule violations within six (6) months of the posting date.
• Associate cannot have more than 1 attendance incident.
• Associate must be able to work 10 hours per day and 50 hours per week.
• Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
• Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
• A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
