Job Description
Summary: The Production Operator assembles and makes ready for shipments a variety of plumbing parts and components, operates and services a variety of production machines within an Assemble-to-Order work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Operates and services a variety of production machines in an Assemble-to-Order work environment. Assembles and packs a variety of standard parts, may supply parts of a line or a feeder process. Must be able to flex (move to another work station as required). Must be able to flex to all jobs on the Assemble-to-Order line. Will occasionally have to transport materials through the plant as needed. Will be required to cross-train on other jobs in home department and other departments as needed. Records product count, scrap, time etc. Disassemblies, sorts, repairs, and salvages a variety of product. Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area. Responsible for label printer operations and minor troubleshooting May be required to complete shipping papers to process complete assemblies Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area. Will be required to rotate to multiple jobs throughout work day Works in a team and is responsible to use own time efficiently
