Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in the food industry. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a high standard of quality in both food and beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Supervise and train staff members, including conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
- Create employee schedules and manage labor costs effectively
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase sales
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items and seasonal specials
- Handle cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality or food industry
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and specialty coffee beverages
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, staff, and vendors
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
