Our client is a dynamic logistics firm based in Linden, NJ. Specializing in frontline Ocean CFS and IPI networks, they deliver top-notch distribution, transportation, and consolidation services with a focus on timely and reliable results.
Summary
We're currently seeking a Logistics Administrator to join their team. The Logistics Administrator will play a pivotal role in coordinating between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure seamless operational services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Negotiating transportation rates with vendors
Serving as a liaison between customers, partner warehouses, and transport companies to ensure efficient service delivery
Accurately tracking and tracing cargo, as well as dispatching and load planning
Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and partner warehouses
Upholding standard operating procedures and maintaining customer profiles
Handling invoicing for services rendered
Processing data through the Company system and addressing any issues that arise
Ensuring compliance with regulations for shipments of hazardous materials
Closing shipments and maintaining filing systems
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an office environment, with a focus on transportation or load planning
Familiarity with logistics or shipping industry practices
Knowledge of global supply chain operations is beneficial
Prior experience in freight forwarding or NVOCC operations is highly desirable
