Our client is a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Administrator to join our growing team in Washington. Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate records of driver logs, employment documents, vehicle maintenance, and other operational paperwork
Oversee the hiring process for new drivers and staff, including posting job advertisements, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
Process driver payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment of wages
Handle invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and accurate financial records
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted for shipments
Maintain regulatory compliance by ensuring that all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are up to date
Provide administrative support to the logistics team, including data entry, filing, and office management tasks
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Requirements:
2 years of experience in administration, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
Familiarity with transportation regulations, permits, and licensing requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is a plus
