About the team
This role will be part of Technical Solution Architecture group within FIS Capital Markets, and will be responsible to work with business and technical teams to design and implement solutions for our clients.
What you will be doing
•You will be documenting and publishing technical solution architecture for different FIS solutions, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks.
•You will be collaborating with various teams and contribute towards releasing recurring services offering by:
o Defines, constructs, supports, and provides training for standard deployment models for FIS solutions.
o Providing inputs on the architecture, operational model, and cost in production.
o Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, Infrastructure, and other technical teams to onboard new clients into FIS hosted solutions.
o Acts as tie breaker on design decisions.
•Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences.
•You will function as a subject matter expert and assist sales, presales, and professional service teams with client facing discussions regarding technical architecture of solutions you have designed.
What you bring
•Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
•Must have led technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside realm of immediate workgroup.
•Demonstrated experience developing solution architecture for large enterprises while partnering with Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Application Architects.
•Expert level experience in designing, implementing, and operating solutions in public AWS/Azure cloud.
•Hands on experience on design solutions using open-source technologies for containers, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Helm, and Kafka.
•Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory.
•Working knowledge of AWS/Azure products and services - Storage, Compute, DBaaS, Messaging, common cloud native platform as services, etc..
•Ability to design complex queries, working with different data types such as XML, JSON, YAML and scripting.
•Working knowledge in relational and NOSQL databases. (Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Couchbase, etc.)
Bonus if you have
•Microsoft certified Azure/ or AWS certified - Solutions Architecture expert.
•Experience working with Identity & Access Management (IAM) on architecture strategies for migration to modern authentication.
•Working knowledge in core cloud infrastructure services such as VPC/VNET, DNS, DHCP, network routing and security group/firewall management.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $115,310.00 - $193,710.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
