Job Title: Manager of Accounting

Position Summary: Seeking a visionary Manager of Accounting to lead financial activities for our client, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive corporate accounting experience and a passion for collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Support business acquisitions and integration activities, focusing on accounting policy, controls, and financial reporting.
• Manage consolidation, analysis, and monthly reporting.
• Lead cross-functional projects, including system implementations and technical accounting matters.
• Determine appropriate accounting for intercompany transactions and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports, conduct financial analyses, and assist in scaling up the retail business for SOX compliance.
• Drive compliance with GAAP and implement new standards.
• Maintain effective relationships with organizational leaders and external business partners.
• Guide other departments by interpreting accounting policy and providing recommendations for operational issues.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage efficient and successful audits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred.
• 6-10 years of corporate accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, consolidations, and lease accounting.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships with senior leaders.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced environment and audit/public accounting is desired.
• Proficiency in processes, positive mindset, great work ethic, excellent communicator, and adeptness in Excel are essential.
