Job Title: Electrical Power Distribution Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the power distribution team to oversee and maintain systems including transformers, substations, and circuit breakers.
  • Drive the planning and execution of engineering projects and major plant turnarounds, supporting project leaders through all phases.
  • Design and conduct evaluations of electrical systems, applying extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Manage maintenance and capital budgets, participate in capital project management, and perform power system analyses including power flow, voltage drop modeling, and fault current calculations.
  • Develop strategies to improve maintenance effectiveness, extend equipment life, and prevent deterioration.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key equipment manufacturers and technical consultants.
  • Create and update critical maintenance documentation to enhance plant operations.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in power distribution, controls, and instrumentation within heavy industries such as chemicals, refineries, or similar.
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory standards including MSHA, OSHA, NEC, and ISA.
  • Proven project management skills with a focus on budgeting, planning, and cost control.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA without sponsorship.
