What you will do!

• Be responsible for independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for
• electric utility customers.
• Review work provided by client and assess requirements of scopes; frequently communication with clients possibly in person for meetings (Michigan) and e-mail, teams, phone.
• Perform engineering calculations such as: structural analysis for wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
• Gain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements, assessing, and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements, and ROW applications.

What you should have!

• AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bill of Materials, Electrical Drawings, Power Distribution, Low Voltage Distribution (LVD)
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience 
• Associates in Engineering (electrical) with 2 plus yes of power distribution experience

EIT, Pole foreman, GIS, Permitting, Permits, Guying, Pole Inspection, Pole replacement, Electrical Demand, NESC, Codes, Transformers, Open Utilities,

Side notes:

• Salary based on experience
• Remote/Hybrid within the state of Michigan (work independently with minimal direction and interaction with peers via MS Teams)
• Consumers Energy experience is a huge plus
