Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director to oversee our senior care facility. The Director will be responsible for managing the overall operations, ensuring the highest level of care for our residents, and creating a positive and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in memory care, social work, and dementia care.
Duties:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting teamwork and collaboration
- Oversee the delivery of quality care services to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for each resident
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents
- Provide counseling and support to residents and their families on aging issues and dementia care
- Plan and organize recreational therapy programs to enhance residents' well-being
- Monitor the facility's compliance with all applicable regulations and licensing requirements
- Manage budgets, financial records, and administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in memory care, senior care, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of ADLs, caregiving techniques, and aging issues counseling
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively lead a team and foster a positive work environment
- Compassionate nature and genuine interest in working with seniors
- Familiarity with dementia care best practices and therapeutic interventions
