Pride Health is hiring for a Crisis Therapist/Counselor to support our client’s medical facility based in Southgate, MI . This is a Direct Hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Crisis Therapists are responsible for providing crisis intervention and intensive case management services to adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders who are 18 years of age and older and are at risk for psychiatric hospitalization, those who have already been admitted to inpatient psychiatric facilities and those who have demonstrated a high risk for readmission or repeated use of emergency psychiatric services.
• Crisis Therapists are responsible for conducting thorough and comprehensive assessments for adults who are at risk for psychiatric admission in order to accurately identify their service needs and preferences.
• Work to deescalate the immediate crisis, facilitate engagement in treatment and recovery support services, and prevent the need for higher levels of care.
• Provide screening, assessment and crisis intervention services via telehealth for adult members of the community who experience mental health emergencies.
• Determine the appropriate level of care and services needed, and the least restrictive setting in which those services can be provided.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling
• Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, and obtain a Michigan Chauffeur License within 30 days of employment.
• Candidates must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illnesses.
• Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist (SATS) credentials within 120 days of hire.

• Job Type: Direct Hire
• Schedule: Regular working hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 to 5 pm. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
• Pay Range: $50,000- $73,000

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
