Overview of the Controller role:
- More high level strategic and financial performance - partnering with CFO
- Responsible for company financial management. Monthly accounting, financial statement preparations, financial reporting, variances, management reports.
- Strategic planning
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, KPI's
- Month & YE journal entries and general ledger; Maintain financial statements and prepare models and analysis
- Job Cost, WIP, percentage complete, standard costs
- Inventory management, pricing
- Work with external Auditors
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
- CPA or advanced degree a plus, no required
- Experience in construction or manufacturing
- Experience working in a large company, high volume business
- Leadership experience
