Hilco Vision is searching for a Divisional Controller to join the team! They will have responsibility for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet of our fastest growing, most profitable division and be responsible for the financial activity and records of the Vision Care Solutions entities. This includes all general ledger activity associated with these entities, and the related assets, capital projects, inventory, asset management, costing, and all spending. This position will also manage cash for these business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• Master’s degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• 7 years’ experience in accounting roles.
• Large scope of knowledge of accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Prior management and supervisory experience.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong skills with Microsoft programs, specifically Excel.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely financial record keeping and reporting for the Vision Care Solutions Division, primarily M&S Technologies and Bruder Healthcare. Month-end/annual general ledger closure and related reporting, including actual to budget variance analysis.
• Proper cash management for the business entities; daily cash balance monitoring, calculation of excess cash, disbursement management and funding, coordination of intercompany cash payments, accounts receivable collections and DSO.
• Strong financial partner to the Global Head of the Vision Care Solutions Division. Provide financial analysis, forecasting and other ad hoc analysis as requested. Make recommendations based on business knowledge, to improve the operations.
• Protect and manage the assets of the division, including inventory and asset management. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and followed. Responsible for overseeing annual physical inventory for the sites.
• Implement accurate item costing, perform gross margin analysis. Make suggestions for areas of opportunity to improve margins and performance.
• Work well in a matrixed structure, partner across departments and build intercompany relationships.
• Mentor, train, and develop all leadership associates to encourage professional growth; this position will have 1-3 direct reports.
