Job description
We are seeking applicants to fill the position of Associate Director. The responsibilities of the job are part-time in the spring and full-time in the summer (6 weeks) . The successful candidate will be smart, insightful, creative, energetic, detail-oriented, organized, authentic, and passionate about young people’s growth and development. S/he will be a team player, andpossess good management and interpersonal skills as well as solid communication skills. An understanding of staff supervision is a must.
The AD will work closely with the Owner and other director and the in all aspects of camp leadership and management.
Minimum requirements for the position include a bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of camp experience as an administrator and supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in overseeing the daily operation of the summer camp program including health services, program areas, special events, camper/staff supervision, and behavior management. Perform a variety of tasks as assigned by the camp director including create staff schedules, communicate with parents, manage camper behavior, supervise staff and program areas, organize/group campers and staff, inventory and equipment management
