Position Overview: They are currently seeking a licensed Commercial Real Estate Title Insurance Underwriter with a minimum of 7 years' experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of title insurance underwriting principles, commercial real estate transactions, and a strong attention to detail. This role will require the ability to interpret title searches, prepare title commitments and policies, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze title search reports, surveys, and other relevant documents to assess title risks and determine insurability for commercial real estate transactions.
2. Prepare and issue title commitments and policies in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards.
3. Ensure compliance with all ALTA endorsements and requirements, as well as state regulations and underwriting guidelines.
4. Collaborate with real estate attorneys, commercial lenders, paralegals, and other stakeholders to facilitate due diligence processes and resolve title-related issues.
5. Provide guidance and support to team members on complex underwriting issues and transactions.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and correspondence.
7. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to commercial title insurance underwriting.
8. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial real estate title insurance underwriting.
• Licensed title insurance underwriter preferred.
• Strong knowledge of title insurance principles, including title searches, commitments, policies, and endorsements.
• Familiarity with ALTA endorsements and requirements for their use.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and title insurance software applications.
