PILGRIM REST FOUNDATION, INC.

Title: Front Office Receptionist

Reports To: Director of Human Services

Direct Reports: None

Job Description: The Front Office Receptioinist will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of PRF Human Services initiatives, and daily operations. Duties may include assisting the public professionally by telephone, email, and in-person to support the Human Services Benevolence process, other assistance and resource programs, and direct interaction with clients and community partners. The Receptionist will use his/her education, experience, and technical skills for the benefit of the Foundation by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of administrative operations.

Education: An associate degree from an accredited college or university in communication, social work, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience working in customer service or human services to families and individuals is required. The possession of a degree in social work or closely related human services field may be substituted for 2 years of the professional work experience.

Skills and Abilities: The Receptionist must have a professional demeanor and appearance. The HSC must demonstrate excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. The HSC must follow strict privacy and confidentiality standards and exercise sound judgment in developing, applying, and interpreting program policies and procedures. The HSC must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

The Receptionist must have a willingness to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and welcoming presence. The HSC must possess superior computer skills, particularly the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other related software programs to use them as an effective communication and implementation tool. In addition, the Receptionist will have the ability speak fluently in Spanish.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
