The Holiday Inn Express Oceanside is seeking a Night Auditor who is passionate about delivering outstanding guest service in a fun, yet very busy Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel. About This Role:
The Holiday Inn Oceanside is seeking an energetic Full-Time Night Auditor to join our fabulous front desk staff. The ideal candidate is extremely energetic, friendly, and polished and with a great personality. They must have the willingness to go the extra mile to serve our guests with the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
This is an overnight position working from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlet's: (e.g. restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing.
- Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports.
- Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily
- Run night audit final after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
- Perform the duties of a Front Desk (guest check-in and check-out, assist guests, provide general information on hotel and nearby attractions)
Qualified candidates must have the following skills/experience:
- Previous hotel front desk experience (desk clerk or night audit).
- Knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Ability to perform moderate math and accounting functions.
- Previous cash handling experience.
Candidates must be able to: stand for a full shift; bend, stoop and reach; push and pull up to 200lbs and lift up to 75lbs.
