LifeSpire - The Glebe is Hiring a Prep Cook - Part Time Near Daleville, VA

The Glebe is seeking a Cook to join our team. 

Our upscale retirement community is looking for a professional, experienced Cook who has a passion for food and a strong attention to detail. We have Full-Time and/or Part-Time hours. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food preparation and presentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items according to house recipes and production numbers
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cooking and culinary arts
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knife skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in team
