The Broadmoor Hotel's Talent Acquisition Team is Hiring a Specialist Fitness Center Near Colorado, CO

Job Title: Specialist Fitness Center Pay Rate: $23-33 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate commissions * *$23-33 per hour based on: $12.00 per hour base wage commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages gratuity and commission earnings of $10-20 per hour. This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests.As a member of the Spa & Fitness Team, this position will provide the most up to date and informed assistance to our guests in the fitness center as well as teach safe and efficient fitness/exercise classes.Our employees represent the Broadmoor brand and are Ambassadors of our Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Standards. Learn more about Broadmoor here.What you will be doing:Teach a variety of quality fitness classes as assigned to include group classes.Lead group hikes and/or ‘fun runs’ as requested by large parties or corporate groupsProvide thoughtful, positive, friendly and professional service to all internal and external guests and exhibit a positive attitude at all times.Provide personal attention to every guest in the fitness center (actively engaging guests while assisting with machines, bringing towels, and water during workout)Continue personal growth and education through onsite resourcesReview personal work schedule on a regular basis for changes and adjustmentsCounsel guests regarding recreational/fitness opportunities at home and at the BroadmoorPromote all aspects of the spaKeep up to date certifications, pursue continuing education opportunitiesWork as a team member with other sport/recreation professionalsMaintain a clean and orderly work environment to include proper use of equipment and applicable safety standardsBe flexible and positive to changes required to enhance guest experience or to meet the fiscal needs of the organizationRespond positively to feedback provided by guests, members and co-workers to continually offer growth in the positionAssist in the development of resolutions to ongoing technical, equipment, and program development concernsFulfill extra duties on a daily basis. This includes, but is not limited to the following: folding and stocking linen, opening and closing the Fitness Center, refreshing drink stations, offering water to guests of Fitness Center, maintaining service expectations and procedures, cleaning and stocking locker rooms, dispensing of soiled linen properly, maintaining and properly using and cleaning all equipment providedMaintain all applicable ethical standardsWillingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentUphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesOther duties as assigned This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Experience in teaching aerobic, strength and/or water classes. Two years of experience in position is preferred.Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.ACSM – exercise leader or health fitness instructor desired with national certifications from accepted institutions such as ACE, AAFA.Strong interpersonal communication skillsOccasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.*Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities*Don’t meet all the qualifications/required skills?
