Discover After School is Hiring a Faith Based Site Director (PM Shift) - Foundation Academy Near Winter, FL

Become a Faith Based Site Director at Foundation Academy and be part of our dynamic team! The Site Director must be able to plan and organize a structured program consisting of educational and recreational activities according to age group, supervise staff and maintain a high level of communication between school administration, staff, and supervisors. The Site Director must ensure a high level of quality programming, and work to establish and build strong relationships. The Site Director should embody our mission, values, and inspire young minds on a journey of discovery and growth. Join us for the ultimate after-school adventure!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reflect the purpose of the school which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity.
  • Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
  • Show by example the importance of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, witnessing, and unity in the Body of Christ. 
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. 
  • Maintain accurate records pertaining to licensing requirements, staff/child health and safety.
  • Supervises/schedules staff to ensure adequate supervision of children and effective implementation of scheduled activities.
  • Meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children in their care.
  • Work in a team environment, build and maintain healthy, cooperative relationships.
  • Communicate positively and effectively.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures both organizationally and departmentally.
  • Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.
  • Complete all Discover After School and governmentally required training in the required time- frame.
  • Implement the curriculum and schedule provided on a daily basis and provide feedback to such on a weekly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.
  • Must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in an evangelical local church.
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech and actions toward others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to connect with children.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening.
  • Satisfactory Drug Screening.
  • High School Diploma.

Skills:

  • Ability to integrate prayer into the classroom, and if necessary pray with students and their families teaching them to rely on God at all times. 
  • Ability to integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus. 
  • Ability to effectively work with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity. 
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Six months' experience in a supervisory position.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, patient, responsible and committed to assisting the program to achieve its highest level of performance and impact.
  • Ability to present a positive image to staff, participants, colleagues, supervisors and the community.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certified can be provided by Discover After School.
  • 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.
  • Ability to communicate at a high level to both children and administration.
  • Ability to problem solve and critically think through daily situations.

  • Wear appropriate staff uniform as assigned.
  • Report to all scheduled shifts on time.
  • Attend all meetings pertinent to this position.
  • Maintain and support all procedures that ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
  • Oversee and participate in the cleaning and maintaining of facilities, equipment, and all areas used.
  • Be knowledgeable and adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed or requested.

Monday - Friday

Afternoon Shift: 12:00PM - 6:00PM

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.00 per hour. Pay is bi-weekly. 

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
