Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Preschool Director to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our preschool program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to providing a safe and enriching environment for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and care.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool, including scheduling, budgeting, and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Evaluate and assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate special events, parent workshops, and other educational activities.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into the program as appropriate.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as enrollment, billing, and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Florida Child Care Directors Credential and have childcare management experience for at least 2 years.
  • 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum development, and instructional best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively work with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements and regulations governing early childhood education programs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Compensation: $20 hourly. Pay is Bi-Weekly.
